Wrap and Drape Bracelet Pattern - PDF
This bracelet is a perfect project for someone who wants to learn flat herringbone stitch or has some experience with herringbone. Japanese seed beads and two-hole Tila beads are used in the design. Working the design lengthwise in flat Ndebele (herringbone) stitch gives the bracelet a soft, light-weight drape. When working the flat Ndebele stitch, a size 15° bead is used on the edge to execute the turn. It is these beads that create the edging on the Ndebele strands. The length is easily adjusted by lengthening or shortening the length of the first and fifth section of each strand.
Finished Length: The pattern as written will result in a bracelet that is 7 1/4 inches long when measured lengthwise from the outside edge of the Tila beads on each end, before the closure is added. Without the clasp the Tila beads on the ends should just meet each other when wrapped around the wearer’s wrist. To add or remove length, add or remove rows of flat Ndebele on the 1st and 5th section2. Sections 2, 3 and 4 are all the same length. Each row of Ndebele measures approximately 1/16th inch. Four rows measures approximately 1/4 inch. Be sure to accommodate any additional drape you want in the finished bracelet.
